Isabelle Sanz

Georgia Institute of Technology

Isabelle Sanz is a second year Ph.D. student in Aerospace Engineering working with Dr. Cristina Riso. She investigates new computational methods to account for dynamic aeroelastic phenomena earlier in the design phase of fixed-wing and vertical lift aerospace vehicles. Before beginning her doctoral studies at Georgia Tech, Isabelle received her B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and interned at Gulfstream Aerospace. This summer she will work as a computational aeromechanics intern with the U.S. Army. Throughout her studies, she hopes to continue growing as a researcher and mentor at the intersection of the fixed-wing and vertical lift aerospace communities.
