Technical Committees

Serving on a Vertical Flight Society Technical Committee is an excellent way to stay current on the state of the art advances in your specific discipline, while interacting and sharing your expertise within the same professional field. You must be a current member in good standing of the Society in order to serve on a technical committee — if you are not currently a member, go to our Membership page to join.

Committee members also serve as Associate Editors and Reviewers for the prestigious AHS Journal, our quarterly technical publication covering theory and practice on a full range of vertical flight topics.

The TCs are comprised of the Society’s most dedicated members from around the world and who are experts in their technical field. The committees develop timely, high quality technical information that is disseminated to the vertical flight community through our Annual Forum, technical conference and events, workshops, short courses and chapter meetings, which take place throughout the year. In addition, they develop and judge annual competitions such as the Student Design Competition and the new Design-Build-Vertical Flight competition.
